There are many lessons you can teach with these books. There is a slight difference in the titles between the Australian and American versions. The Australian title says “Storeys,” and the American version says “Stories.” Easy-to-read, visually exciting and wonderfully entertaining, the pace is fast and the fun never stops. Jasper: When you were a kid, did you have a treehouse? And at the top, there's a different land each time … It might be The Land of Do-As-You-Please or The Land of Spells … Some of it was pleasurable, some of it was scary, but you never knew what was going to happen next.

The characters of Andy and Terry parallel the author, Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton. The books are designed to be happening in real time while the characters are trying to finish the book. They mean the book to be more like a trip to the theatre instead of just reading a story. The book has spawned a series of sequels, each of them adding 13 stories to the treehouse and other humour fiction:Andy: There are many things that lead you to be inspired to write a book. But one of them in the case of the Treehouse series was a book that I grew up with as a child, which was The Magic Faraway Tree [by Enid Blyton] about three children who discover a magic tree that they climb up and it's full of all sorts of odd and amusing and sometimes frightening characters. Their treehouse is awesome because it looked small from the outside but is big on the inside. Later, the duo began to work on their book, but Terry was too sad to concentrate. Andy then gets Terry popcorn and lemonade to cheer him up. Terry additionally got himself bubblegum. He burps a bubble which he had trap himself. Terry floats away and Andy does a golf swing which successfully saved him.
