About this deal

A good newbie telescope, good quality, easy set up with the only real difficulty being setting up the view finger telescope as it has 3 pins holding it in place but only takes a slight knock to put it way out of allignment. if its small then as has been suggested a 32mm plossl eyepiece would be good, you could also try it with the barlow? The SarBlue Mak60 tabletop Dobsonian mount offers similar performance to the AstroMaster LT 76AZ but in a much more compact package with a steadier mount to boot. The AstroMaster LT 76AZ comes with a generic battery-powered “StarPointer” red dot sight to aim the telescope. Great start, keep observing the moon as it grows (waxes) and shrinks (wanes), concentrate on the "terminator" (shady side) and you should see different features as the terminator moves across the surface.

Locate and identify thousands of celestial objects on your laptop or PC with ""The SkyX"" Planetarium Software included FREE with every PowerSeeker model. The Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ Telescope has superb light gathering power due to the large 127mm primary mirror. You can keep all your important accessories on the tray provided and so always have them close at hand. As such, using it is extremely frustrating at even fairly low magnifications, as you will either overshoot your target or watch it slowly drift out of view as the scope droops in altitude. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Uranus and Neptune are merely fuzzy dots, barely distinguishable from stars if at all, and with moons far too dim to see with such a small scope.

You have already had good views of the Moon and Venus, these are currently a couple of the best targets.

A note regarding magnification: Similar telescopes are advertised in many places with magnifications of over 300X or even 600X. Mars, as you have found, is too far away for a good view, you will have better results with Jupiter later in the year. Their sturdy equatorial mounts are perfect for tracking objects in the night sky, and the collapsible alt-azimuth mounts are perfectly suited for terrestrial (land) viewing as well as astronomical use.
