Chase Vodka is a single estate potato vodka made in Herefordshire, England, UK by William Chase, who is also known for founding Tyrrells crisps. Although this process does not get all the alcohol out the potatoes it does give the vodka more character. William Chase English potato vodka is created from pure English potatoes taken from chases own farm located right next to the distillery.Using quality home grown ingredients and artisan methods, they are multi-award winners and have a strong reputation as a producer of top rate premium spirits. The heart is the good spirit and this batch is taken through the entire 42 bubble plate process again ending up with a spirit at 96% ABV. They decided to enter the white spirit market after realising that people weren’t exploring terroir enough. Bright and fruity from first opening, Hennessy also has undertones of oak and once in the mouth flavours of nutty grilled almonds and a hint of fresh grapes are released.

The Chase family have been distilling since 2008, but their potatoes were already well known in the form of Tyrrells crisps. The distillery is housed in a converted hop kiln barn amongst 400 acres of rolling fields of potatoes, apple orchards and Herefordshire cattle. Its strong bitter flavour is artichoke based but is enriched by a mixture of 13 different herbs, plants and roots, bringing out heady botanical aromas and flavours. It is a superb accompaniment to dessert dishes, especially fruit, cakes, chocolate puddings and soft cheeses. Chase Vodka was named as the world's best vodka at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, beating 249 other vodkas from countries including Russia and Poland.
The spirit is then diluted with pure water that is taken from the aquifer underneath the orchard to around 50% ABV. Deliveries are usually with you 24/48 hours after the goods leave us, but recently have been taking slightly longer.
